asked the Minister for Education if she has received an application for a prefab classroom extension at Donapatrick national school, County Galway; and if she will make a statement in the matter.

asked the Minister for Education when finance will be made available for the purchase of a pre-fabricated classroom to alleviate overcrowding at a school (details supplied) in County Galway.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 435 and 436 together. The question of the provision of a prefabricated classroom at Donapatrick national school, Cave, Caherlistrane, County Galway, is at present being considered by my Department. As soon as a decision has been reached my Department will communicate with the chairman of the board of management.

asked the Minister for Education when the construction of the extension to Courtnacuddy national school, Enniscorthy, County Wexford, will commence.

asked the Minister for Education if she is aware of the very unsatisfactory situation in Courtnacuddy national school, County Wexford, as children have to walk half a mile twice a day to change classes; if she is aware that tenders were received by her Department in April, 1983 and that the tender has not yet been offered; when the extension will be built; and the reasons for the delay.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 437 and 438 together.

My Department are considering a request from the Commissioners of Public Works for permission to release to contract the proposed extension to Courtnacuddy national school, County Wexford, and will advise the chairman of the board of management as soon as a decision has been taken in the matter. It is not possible at this stage to say when the extension will be built.

asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on the new national school at Curracloe, County Wexford.

440.

asked the Minister for Education if she is aware that the school at present in use in Curracloe, County Wexford, was built in 1894; when a new school will be built to accommodate these pupils; and the reasons for the inordinate delay.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 439 and 440 together.

The question of releasing the project for the proposed new national school at Curracloe, County Wexford, to tender is at present under consideration in my Department. As soon as a decision has been reached my Department will write to the school chairman.
