The contract documents submitted by Kilkenny County Council for the proposed Paulstown sewerage scheme are under consideration in my Department.
Having regard to the need to conserve available capital for major water and sewerage schemes of the highest priority in progress or getting to construction at the present time for which adequate finance must be provided including the following sanitary services schemes in County Kilkenny: Kilkenny Main Drainage Scheme Stage 2; Piltown/Fiddown Sewerage Scheme. I regret that it is not possible at present to indicate when I may be able to convey a decision to Kilkenny County Council on their proposals for the Paulstown sewerage scheme.
