I regret that the current restriction on the recruitment of additional staff to the public sector has not made it possible for me to sanction the proposals before me in respect of additional staffing for new services at Dunmore House. The question of approving these proposals will be considered as sympathetically as possible as resources become available for new services for the mentally handicapped.
