Vol. 345 No. 5

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Natural Gas Supply.

3.

asked the Minister for Industry and Energy the date on which construction of a gas pipe line to Limerick will commence; and the date when natural gas will be available to the city.

Limerick is under consideration at present for a supply of natural gas. If there is to be an allocation of gas it would be on the basis that a technically and economically viable project can be achieved. I understand that a comprehensive plan is being prepared by Limerick Gas Company but until I receive and have had this studied I cannot suggest when natural gas will be available in Limerick.
