asked the Minister for Agriculture when a premium in respect of eight calf heifers will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.
Under the suckler cow premium scheme premiums are payable on the number of cows in the herd at the date on which the application is made. The person named owned six cows at the date of his application for 1982 EEC suckler cow premium and was paid premium in respect of these animals on 17 June 1983. No further premiums are therefore owing to him.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange to pay grants under the farm modernisation scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.
The grant will be paid when the work has been satisfactorily completed and provided that the other conditions of the scheme have been complied with.
