Vol. 345 No. 11

Written Answers. - Knockaderry (Kerry) National School.

528.

asked the Minister for Education when she will appoint a fourth teacher to Knockaderry national school, Farranfore, County Kerry.

To warrant the appointment of a third assistant teacher, the fourth teacher including the Principal, in a national school an average enrolment of 105 pupils must be secured for one of the periods specified in Rule 88 (3) of the Rules for National Schools. As such requirement has not been fulfilled in the case of Knockaderry national school the appointment of a third assistant teacher may not be sanctioned at present.
