Vol. 346 No. 2

Written Answers. - River Drainage.

318.

asked the Minister for Finance the present position regarding the drainage of the Owenmore and Arrow rivers, and when the design stage will be completed.

Progress has been made on the design of a drainage scheme for the Owenmore catchment of which the Arrow forms part. Further developments of the design must await completion of a review of the arterial drainage programme. The objective of the review which should be completed about mid-1984 is to assess the returns from arterial drainage expenditure.
