It is my Department's policy to provide new school buildings in newly developed residential areas in County Dublin in such a way as to ensure that adequate educational facilities at both primary and post-primary levels are readily accessible to the children residing in these areas. In this connection the age and developmental stage of the children, and the general structure and needs of the communities are taken into account.
