Vol. 346 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

313.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a house improvement grant for a bedroom was refused to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly in view of the fact that he has a large family; and if he will have his case reinvestigated.

A grant cannot be allowed in this case because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme, the works had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out. The applicant has been so informed.
