The person named was overpaid cattle and sheep headage grants under the 1980 and 1981 disadvantaged areas schemes and the necessary adjustment to regularise the position involves both the outstanding cattle grant for 1982 and the first instalment of the 1983-84 ewe premium payable next January.
The person named also applied for but was not paid suckler cow premiums for 1981 and 1982 as his eligibility to participate as a "full-time farmer" in the schemes was under investigation. A decision on this matter will be made shortly.
