A total of 553 Christmas cards were issued from the Office of the Minister for Finance in 1983 at a cost of £225.23 including postage. This compares with 650 cards issued by the Deputy's party colleague, Deputy Michael O'Kennedy, in December 1980 while he was Minister for Finance. In relation to the Minister of State's office a total of 400 Christmas cards were issued in 1983 at a cost of £188 including postage.
