Vol. 347 No. 1

Written Answers. - Ministerial Drivers.

210.

asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism the names, addresses and qualifications of drivers employed by his Ministers of State; the allowances and other expenses paid; and the estimated cost of travel in 1983 under the new arrangements in comparison with the cost of the provision of State cars in 1983.

As Deputy Michael Moynihan, Minister of State at the Department of Trade, Commerce and Tourism during 1983, did not employ a civilian driver the question of comparative costs does not arise in his case.

The position in regard to Minister of State Deputy Eddie Collins was dealt with in reply to a question on 14 December 1983.
