Vol. 347 No. 3

Written Answers. - Kerry Cottage Sites.

402.

asked the Minister for Justice the reason for the long delay on the part of the Land Registry in returning maps, duly certified, to Kerry County Council in connection with the proposed transfer of single rural sites for the building of county council cottages thereon; and if he will expedite the return of these maps so that work will commence immediately on the building of the cottages for those who are in urgent need of rehousing.

, Limerick East): There are no delays in the Land Registry in returning maps, duly certified, following applications for official searches. The whole process, including the searching, is usually completed in two to three weeks.

The only outstanding applications from Kerry County Council are ones that were lodged on 13 January. The searches in question are being carried out and it is expected that the applications will be cleared within the next week or so.
