asked the Minister for Finance the amount of revenue yield in respect of the residential property tax up to the end of January 1984 or up to the latest date for which figures are available; and the expected administrative costs of this tax.

The amount of the revenue yield in respect of residential property tax up the end of January 1984 was £1,071,000. The estimated cost of administration and collection of the tax in a full year has now been revised to £250,000.

asked the Minister for Finance the number of householders who were sent a form in respect of the residential property tax; and the number of forms returned up to the end of January 1984 or at the latest date for which figures are available.

The number of householders to whom forms in respect of residential property tax were sent is estimated at 75,000. The number of forms returned up to the end of January 1984 was 46,000.
