asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on the extension to a national school (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

My Department have under consideration the question of inviting tenders for the proposed extension scheme at the school in question. A decision in the matter will be conveyed as soon as possible to the school authorities. It is not possible at this stage to say when work may commence on the project.

asked the Minister for Education when the contract will be signed for the extension to a national school (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

The Commissioners of Public Works have been asked to put in hands the contract arrangements for the extension to the national school referred to. It is not yet possible to say when these arrangements may be concluded.

asked the Minister for Education if the required number of pupils has been reached for the appointment of an extra teacher to a national school (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

It will be necessary that the prescribed average enrolment of 105 pupils should be reached by the school in question for the quarter ending 31 March 1984 if it is to qualify for the appointment of a third assistant.
