On 21 December 1983 the Department of Education sanctioned a grant in respect of improvements to the playspace and erection of boundary walls at Listellick national school, County Kerry. Preparation of contract documents is in hands and on completion will be sent to the manager of the school to enable him to invite tenders.
How much was the grant and what kind of work will be done?
We made a report and recommendations to the Department of Education in respect of works on 25 August 1983. The Department sanctioned a grant on 21 December 1983. I do not have the actual cost.
A bigger grant was allocated for this job but it was reduced in December 1983. As far as I know the grant is £17,000. It was £24,000 but has been reduced.
