The number of staff employed by the Commissioners of Public Works on planning work in relation to arterial drainage is 16. This staff are engaged in servicing the Boyne, Maigue, Corrib-Mask-Robe, Boyle and Bonet catchment drainage schemes which are ongoing, in finalising the design of a scheme for the Monaghan Blackwater catchment, and in supporting and monitoring the progress of the specialist studies being undertaken in connection with the preparation of a drainage scheme for the Dunkellin-Lavally catchment areas.
