Vol. 348 No. 6

Written Answers. - County Cavan Industry.

380.

asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism the steps he is taking to ensure the continuance of a company (details supplied) in County Cavan as a viable industry.

Since this firm went into voluntary liquidation the IDA have been making continuous efforts to secure a take-over of the assets with a view to the resumption of manufacture and employment.

At present, discussions regarding the possibility of resumption of manufacture in the premises are in progress between the IDA and certain manufacturing interests. At this stage, however, it would be premature to comment as to the likely outcome of these discussions.
