Vol. 349 No. 4

Written Answers. - Rathcoole (Dublin) All-Irish School.

502.

asked the Minister for Education if the architectural planning of the proposed new all-Irish school at Rathcoole has been finalised; and if her Department intend to apply for planning permission for this school.

503.

asked the Minister for Education if the area of land required to provide an access to the site of the proposed new all-Irish school at Rathcoole, County Dublin, has been purchased; and if the review of the accommodation requirements for this school has been finalised.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 500, 502 and 503 together.

The review of accommodation requirements for the proposed new all-Irish school, Scoil Chronáin, Rathcoole, County Dublin, has been completed, resulting in an approval by my Department of a revised sketch scheme for the project.

Currently the Commissioners of Public Works are in communication with the school authorities' architect on a matter related to concluding the purchase of the access route to the site. The resolution of this matter does not affect the progress in preparing contract documentation for the project. The question of planning permission will not arise until this purchase has been concluded and working drawings for the project are available.
