I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the person referred to has been approved recently for aid under the EEC western package electrification scheme.
As it is the ESB who carry out the scheme on behalf of my Department, they will be writing to him in the near future to inform him of the outcome and to quote him the subsidised terms for supply. As soon as he notifies the ESB of his acceptance of the terms, he will be placed on the ESB's normal work programme and his premises will be connected to supply in due course.
