Vol. 350 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Motor-Cycle Accidents.

536.

asked the Minister for the Environment the number of accidents that have taken place with motor bicycles in the last three years for which figures are available and which resulted in (a) severe injury and (b) death.

Details of road traffic accidents are published annually by An Foras Forbartha in the report entitled "Road Accident Facts". Copies of these reports, the latest of which covers the year 1982, are available in the Dáil Library.

These reports provide analyses of road traffic accidents under a variety of headings in respect of each year. Details of the number of motor-cycles which were involved in fatal and injury accidents will be found in Table 25. The reports do not distinguish between serious and slight injury.
