Vol. 350 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Deserted Wife's Housing Entitlement.

559.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a deserted wife is classed as a single parent for the allocation of local authority housing in the same way as an unmarried single parent.

The allocation of local authority dwellings is a matter for individual local authorities, having regard to the terms of the scheme of letting priorities made by them under section 60 of the Housing Act, 1966.
