Payments under the 1983 EEC suckler cow premium scheme have now commenced and the person named will be paid in due course when the batch which includes his payments is processed.

The person named was paid his cattle headage grant on 9 April 1984.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when it is proposed to pay a cow suckler grant and a calf subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and the date if it has already been paid.
The person named will be paid his beef cow grants under the 1983 disadvantaged areas scheme and also suckler cow and calf premiums as soon as the batches which include those payments are processed.

An officer of my Department will call on the person named shortly to see if difficulties concerning herd registration can be resolved. If they can, his 1982 and 1983 cattle headage and suckler cow applications will be processed.
