Agreement has been reached with the Southern Health Board on a revised scheme for the development of the hospital. The necessary planning is at an advanced stage. Stage 5 planning documentation which involves the estimation of quanitites, tendering procedures and conditions of contract is being prepared at present. Subject to this documentation being in order, approval can be given to the health board to proceed to the final stage of planning for building to commence at that stage subject to the availability of capital funding.
