asked the Minister for Health if he has any plans for the development of Ennistymon District Hospital, County Clare; the cost involved; and when work will commence.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 516, 517 and 518 together.

The development of Kilrush, Raheen and Ennistymon Hospitals is a matter for the Mid-Western Health Board in the first instance. To date I have received a proposal in relation to Raheen only which involves the provision of 16 replacement beds at an estimated cost of £60,000. Further clarification has been sought from the health board on this and a reply is awaited. I have no other proposals from the board in relation to these hospitals.
