Vol. 351 No. 4

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 6, 1 and 7, Votes Nos. 35 and 36. By agreement, if a division is challenged on any Estimate today, the taking of such division shall be postponed until 8.30 p.m. on the next Wednesday on which the House shall sit until that hour. Also by agreement, the Dáil shall meet at 10.30 a.m. tomorrow and shall adjourn not later than 4 p.m. and business shall be confined to Estimates for Public Services.

Are the arrangements for today's and tomorrow's business agreed?

I should like to give notice to raise on the Adjournment the breakdown of negotiations concerning the future of Tuam Sugar Factory.

I shall communicate with Deputy Kitt. Item No. 6 — Nurses Bill, 1984, Second Stage, the Minister of State to move.

There is no Minister.

Deputies

Where is the Minister?

A Cheann Comhairle, on a point of order——

Is this a point of order?

Since we have nothing to do, I thought I would raise a point of order. There seems to be a vacuum and I was endeavouring to fill it while the Minister is coming and that sort of thing.

I have called on the Minister of State. Well, he has been here.

I was going to raise the question of Verolme Cork Dockyard and 240 employees there being made redundant. I was wondering——

The Deputy is being disorderly.

I was wondering if the Government would pay them the same redundancy——

I have given every opportunity for Deputies to raise matters on the Adjournment. I am calling on the Minister of State to move the Second Stage.
