Vol. 351 No. 8

Written Answers. - Housing Finance Agency.

457.

asked the Minister for the Environment the up-to-date position on Housing Finance Agency allocations for 1984; and, in particular, if he will ensure that as Wexford County Council's allocation of £800,000 is already spoken for, that extra money will be forthcoming as almost 50 applicants have been sanctioned subject to the availability of extra funds.

The distribution, within the total of their capital allocation for the year, of funds between local authorities to enable Housing Finance Agency loans to be paid as they mature is a matter for the agency themselves. I understand that there is at present no undue delay in the payment of loans. I will be keeping the adequacy of the agency's overall allocation under review as the year progresses.
