Vol. 352 No. 1

Written Answers. - Employment Appeals Tribunal.

440.

asked the Minister for Labour the estimated cost of the four hearings of the Employment Appeals Tribunal affecting one employee of a firm (details supplied) in liquidation.

The case concerned came before the Employment Appeals Tribunal on four occasions. Two hearings were of a preliminary nature and involved no extra cost as they were added to pre-arranged programmes of other hearings for the days in question. The case was dealt with by a division of the tribunal at a half day sitting on 17 May and a special sitting on 28 May 1984. The fees of tribunal members for those sittings amounted to £321.
