asked the Minister for Agriculture the total number of farm-holders in the country and in each county whose acreage is (a) less than ten acres, (b) less than 20 acres, (c) less than 30 acres, (d) less than 40 acres, (e) less than 50 acres, (f) less than 60 acres, (g) less than 70 acres, (h) less than 80 acres, (i) less than 90 acres, (j) less than 100 acres, (k) less than 150 acres, (l) less than 200 acres, (m) less than 250 acres, (n) less than 300 acres, (o) less than 400 acres, (p) less than 500 acres, and (q) over 500 acres; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The following is the latest information available on the number of holdings classified by size group and by county which was obtained from the 1980 census of agriculture and published in the March 1983 issue of the Irish Statistical Bulletin.
