Vol. 352 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Dublin School Fence.

724.

asked the Minister for Education if she is aware that in the course of the construction of the new national school in Rathcoole, County Dublin the level of the playground area at the rear was raised to such a substantial extent that it overlooks the residence of a long standing occupier (details supplied) in County Dublin; and if having regard to the serious inconvenience being caused to the resident as a result, arrangements will be made to provide a wall or fence to restore privacy and protection which this family enjoyed for many decades before the construction of this new school.

My Department has asked the Commissioners of Public Works to report on the request by the resident referred to by the Deputy for the provision of a wall or fence at the Rathcoole national school. The matter will be further considered when the commissioners' report comes to hand.
