asked the Taoiseach the amount of cider imported into Ireland for the years 1981, 1982 and 1983.

Cider is not separately identified in the Customs and Excise Tariff of Ireland, but is included with other fermented beverages NES, for example perry and mead. The following table gives the amount of cider and other fermented beverages NES imported in the last three years:
