Sketch plans in respect of the proposed new national school at Station Road, Portarlington, County Laois, are at present being considered by my Department's Primary Buildings Branch. The Department will be communicating shortly with the school authorities with a view to sanctioning a grant for the project and allowing the detail design work to commence.
