Payments under the 1984 cattle and beef cow schemes in the disadvantaged areas are scheduled to begin at the end of the present month and are expected to continue for a period of two months. Premium payments under the 1984 EEC suckler cow scheme will be made in April 1985 when the six months period for retention of cows specified in that scheme expires for all applicants.
