Vol. 354 No. 2

Written Answers. - Kerry Group Water Scheme.

615.

asked the Minisster for the Environment the up to date position regarding the proposed Dawros group water supply scheme near Kenmare, County Kerry, where the contributions have been paid for a considerable period; and when the grants will be sanctioned.

The groups design for this 60 house scheme at Dawros has been examined and technically cleared by my Department. I understand however that Kerry County Council will require increased pipe sizes on the scheme with a view to augmenting the Kenmare town water supply from the group's proposed lake source. The technical and financial aspects of these design changes are being examined by the County Council and the Department.

I cannot say at this stage when grants will be allocated for the scheme.
