asked the Taoiseach the number of persons registered as unemployed at the various offices in County Kerry at the end of (a) 1981; (b) 1982; (c) 1983 and (d) 1984.

Following is the statement:

The number of persons on the live register at each local employment office in County Kerry at the end of December, 1981 to 1984, is shown in the following table.

* In December, 1982, persons resident in the Abbeyfeale area who formerly registered in Newcastle West, County Limerick, were transferred to Listowel local office. At the time of the transfer, the number of persons involved was of the order of 360.
