Vol. 355 No. 3

Written Answers. - Speed Control Ramps.

251.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he proposes to introduce legislation for the erection of speed control ramps in housing estates and on roads where there is an abuse of speed.

The general question of the provision of speed control ramps on public roads either on an experimental basis or otherwise, including the statutory framework within which they might be provided, is currently being examined in my Department and any proposals in the matter would be considered in the context of the next Road Traffic Bill. In this connection a review of the Road Traffic Acts has been undertaken by my Department.
