I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that it was necessary to refer the claims for repayment of VAT from the person concerned to the inspector of taxes for audit.
Cheques in settlement of the claims were issued to the trader on 28 January and 1 February 1985, after set-off of an unpaid declared liability for the taxable period May-June 1983.
