Up to 31 December 1984, 6,227 applicants for the reduced interest scheme had been accepted in principle by the lending institutions, subject to certain conditions being fulfilled. Of these, 5,418 have been granted interest relief by those institutions.
Statistics for the scheme are not available on a county basis.
