Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

382.

Mr. Coughlan

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a house improvement grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

The file in this case is with the Department's inspector for investigation and report with a view to payment of a grant, if in order.

383.

asked the Minister for the Environment when the £5,000 grant under the scheme whereby a tenant of a county council of local authority house purchases his own house will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Carlow.

The processing of applications for the £5,000 grant is a matter for the appropriate local authority up to the payment certification stage. In this case the grant will be paid by my Department when the appropriate payment certificate is received from Carlow County Council.

384.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house is satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.
