Vol. 355 No. 9

Written Answers. - Domiciliary Care Allowance.

392.

asked the Minister for Health the outcome of the application for a domiciliary allowance made ten months ago by a person (details supplied) in Dublin 3.

An application by the person in question for a domiciliary care allowance was refused on medical grounds. The applicant has now been notified by the Eastern Health Board.

The domiciliary care allowance is payable in respect of severely physically or mentally handicapped children who require from another person constant care or attention substantially greater than that which would normally be required by a child of the same age or sex.
