The number of local authority houses completed from 1976 to 1983 was as follows: 1976, 7,263; 1977, 6,333; 1978, 6,073; 1979, 6,214; 1980, 5,984; 1981, 5,681; 1982, 5,686; 1983, 6,190. Final figures for 1984 will be available shortly. The indications are that completions in 1984 were of the order of 7,000.
