I am advised that the bridge in question is structurally sound generally and accordingly, the question of providing a grant to repair it does not arise. Donegal County Council have developed a proposal to widen the bridge which is generally acceptable to my Department. The question of providing road grant finance to meet the costs involved will be considered when future road grant commitments are being determined, having regard to the relative priority of the works.
