Vol. 356 No. 3

Written Answers. - Land Registrations.

472.

asked the Minister for Justice the reason for the long delay in dealing with the application of a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

Limerick East): This is an application for first registration which was lodged in the Land Registry on 1 June 1983. Consideration of the application has reached the final stages and it is expected that registration will be completed at an early date. Applications such as this are usually of a complex nature involving detailed examination of title. For that reason and also because of the large number of applications awaiting attention, there is at present a long delay in dealing with such applications in the Land Registry.

473.

asked the Minister for Justice when a decision will be made on the registration application of a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

Limerick East): The Land Registry found it necessary to raise certain queries in this case with the applicant's solicitors before registration could proceed. A reply to the final query was received on 14 February 1985. It seems likely that it will now be possible to finalise the registration at an early date.
