asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will give a list of all holdings in County Galway where the Land Commission had issued proceedings for acquisition but where acquisition had not been completed or bonds issued.

The following is a list of cases where the owners have been informed that the Land Commission are prepared, on application, to consider terminating the acquisition proceedings. The cases have not yet been determined.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether the Land Commission have been instructed not to proceed with acquisition of lands or issue of bonds where sales had already been negotiated.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether decisions of the Land Court recommending acquisition of lands from private landowners are not now to be proceeded with; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 592 and 593 together.

In the light of the Government decision to abolish the Land Commission the commission are prepared, on application, to consider terminating proceedings in any case where acquisition arrangements have not been completed.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the present position regarding proceedings for the acquisition of the Churchill estate at Cleggan, Connemara, County Galway.

Proceedings for the acquisition of this estate have not yet been determined.
