There are five court cases under Article 169 of the EC Treaty pending against Ireland as of 21 February 1985. The five cases are as follows:
Case No. 288/83: Article 30 EC Treaty: import licences for potatoes originating from non-member states but in free circulation in another member state.
Case No. 17/84: Implementation of Directive 77/388 EEC "Sixth Directive on Value Added Tax".
Case No. 126/84: Article 30 of EC Treaty: duty to purchase nationally produced petroleum products up to a given level of requirement.
Case No. 206/84: Implementation of Council Directive 78/473 EEC on the co-ordination of laws regulations and administrative provisions relating to Community co-insurance.
Case No. 16/85: Implementation of Council Directive 78/660 EEC concerning the annual accounts of certain types of companies.
An oral hearing was held in Case No. 288/83 on 16 January 1985 and in Case No. 17/84 on 6 February 1985. A date for the oral hearing has not yet been fixed in the three other cases and this will be a matter for the court to decide in due course.
