asked the Minister for Labour the number and names of the agencies and bodies who benefit from the youth employment levy; and the total amount collected under the levy in each year since its introduction.

The following four State agencies and three Government Departments each receive funding which derives from the proceeds of the youth employment levy:

— the Youth Employment Agency

— ACOT — Council for Development in Agriculture

— AnCO — the Industrial Training Authority

— CERT — the Council for the Education, Recruitment and Training in the Hotel, Catering and Tourism Industries

—the Department of Labour

—the Department of the Environment

—the Department of Education

The total amount received by my Department in respect of youth employment levy in each year since the levy was introduced in April, 1982 is as follows:
