I have already given approval in principle to Cork County Council for the provision of a new fire station in Bandon. I understand from the local authority that plans for the new station are nearing completion and that it is hoped that tenders for the work will be invited shortly. Subject to the cost being reasonable, I would expect to be in a position to make the necessary loan capital available for the project.
