Vol. 356 No. 7

Written Answers. - Grant Payment.

507.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The application in this case was in respect of the provision of water, sewerage and bathroom facilities, the building of a chimney and the provision of an additional bedroom. A grant could not be allowed in respect of the bathroom or bedroom because the statutory waiting periods had not elapsed since payment of a previous grant in respect of the house. As adequate water and sewerage facilities and a chimney already existed in the house neither could grants be allowed in respect of these categories of work.
