482.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford who is in receipt of unemployment benefit is entitled to any pay-related benefit payment.

The entitlement of the person concerned to pay-related benefit with his flat rate unemployment benefit is governed by his reckonable earnings during the income tax period 6 April 1982 to 5 April 1983. According to records of the Department his total earnings during that period amounted to £234.26 and as this amount was less than the earnings floor pay-related benefit is not payable in his case.
