Vol. 357 No. 1

Written Answers. - Ashbourne (Meath) Health Clinic.

540.

asked the Minister for Health when it is expected that the proposed new health clinic for Ashbourne, County Meath, will be completed and operational; the services it is intended to provide from the clinic; the proposed staffing level of the clinic; and the measures he intends to take to provide these services for the people of the area until the clinic is opened.

It is expected that the new health centre for Ashbourne, County Meath, will be completed early in 1986 and brought into operation immediately. The services to be provided from the new centre will include general medical practitioner, public health nursing, dental, child health, social worker and community welfare. Initially, about eight members of staff will operate from the health centre.

Pending the building of the new health centre at Ashbourne, dental services are provided for the people of the area from the health centres at Dunboyne or Dunshaughlin. All other services are provided from temporary premises in Ashbourne.
